Addie Camp
About This Spot
Stepping into Addie Camp in Soldotna is like slipping into a warmly lit memory, where the charm of a beautifully restored railcar meets the gentle pulse of a community gathering spot. The pace here is unhurried and inviting, encouraging diners to linger over thoughtfully crafted plates and conversations that ebb and flow with the rhythm of the space. Natural wood and vintage details mingle effortlessly, framing an atmosphere that feels both intimate and quietly spirited.
The cuisine reflects the surrounding landscape in ingredient-forward dishes that balance comfort with a touch of adventure. Whether it’s a rich, savory bite of salmon curry or the vibrant freshness of beet hummus, each plate carries a sense of careful attention and seasonal awareness. Brunch here unfolds with playful creativity—imagine a mushroom avocado toast accompanied by a mimosa that's as lively as the morning light filtering through the windows. Evenings invite a heartier embrace; a ribeye steak with garlic potatoes or a mushroom burger offers satisfying warmth without losing sight of finesse.
What truly lingers beyond the food is the sense of welcome. The staff’s attentiveness and sincere smiles weave into each visit, making guests feel less like diners and more like members of a shared moment. The unique setting—a dining car that echoes with nostalgia—only deepens this effect, transforming a meal into a small, meaningful escape. Addie Camp isn’t just about what’s on the plate; it’s about the subtle joys found in place, flavor, and connection.

This was a hands down FANTASTIC dinner experience. The food was incredibly flavorful and beautifully plated. Out waitress, Kim, was a superstar whose smile and upbeat personality was infectious - she really made the dinner 10X better. She also had very timely and professional service and boxed our dinner up to-go. I’m obsessed with everything about this restaurant and I look forward to coming back next time I am in town.

Sweet. Baby. Jesus. Now I’ve been to some epic restaurants, including multiple Michelin star places. I’ve eaten well across the world. This spot blew us away, especially in a place like Soldotna. If you appreciate good food, this is the first place you need to go. We regretted not looking at their schedule because we couldn’t go again for dinner in the 4 nights we were there. We did do a dinner and their brunch. Both were epic. Pulled pork wontons, poke bowl, spicy garlic shrimp, lobster pasta, halibut cheek red curry, strawberry basil shortcake and dark chocolate espresso mousse. Everything was epic!! Likely better than any restaurant most of you have been to. Please go! Oh yeah, brunch, eggs Benedict sandwich, duck confit sandwich, and their unbelievable cinnamon roll….. great coffee to boot. Don’t miss it!

The best meal we’ve had in Alaska! The staff were so incredibly welcoming, the food was INCREDIBLE - had the tuna tots, goat cheese balls, crab pasta, halibut curry, and the salmon noodle bowl and truly everything was amazing. A must visit with such a cute environment in an old train car.

Addie Camp - Dining Car was such a delightful surprise during my visit to Alaska! The atmosphere is so unique—dining in a beautifully restored railcar made the experience feel both nostalgic and cozy. The food was absolutely delicious, with thoughtful flavors and fresh ingredients in every dish. You can tell the chefs put real heart into the menu. The service was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. If you’re in the area, this place is a must-visit. Great food, great vibes, and such a fun piece of local history to enjoy while you dine!

Gorgeous views and amazing food. Fave was the halibut cheek curry. So so good. Also good mocktail for me! And extensive wine list for others. Didn’t get to sit in the train car since we had a larger group, but it looked pretty cool!

Where do I begin? This was my first time dining at Addie Camp, this place was so good in every aspect. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh! Every dish we tried was made to perfection and the presentation of the dishes was beautiful. The waitress was so attentive and kind. Great atmosphere. I will most definitely come back. I highly recommend!

We love delicious Addie camp, eating in a historic rain car, attentive service, owner Mary, visits you sometimes when not in kitchen or at their excellent bar or outside seating. Last night's halibut curry and elk burger, both soooo good.

Have they changed the menu? We tried Addie Camp a few years back, but we weren't that impressed for the money. But now, it's quite good! We've only tried it (again), a couple times, so haven't yet tried a lot of their menu. How could we? We got stuck, having found what we like. Hummus and pita is great! Also silly when the hummus turned pink (more correctly beet color), when an employee came to work with pink hair. The salads are awesome. Our discerning daughter adores the Goat Cheese Balls. Did you know that lettuce can taste great? I'm used to grocery store lettuce. This lettuce tastes so much better. Yeah, it costs more. But I know why. Now we're addicted.
